To new beginnings & happy endings

Well…this week was bittersweet as I said goodbye to my friends and colleagues at Smith & Nephew. Monday will mark the first day of my new journey as a Project Manager for Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare. The past 6 1/2 years have been amazing…I had the privilege of working with some talented individuals who will remain life-long friends. God definitely had me where he wanted me…and today I am walking away with invaluable work experiences that will serve as a framework for my new role.

It is never an easy decision to leave a company that has allowed you to take such great care of your family. When I found out I was pregnant, S&N offered me a flexible schedule, giving me the opportunity to work from home as needed. This benefit allowed me to nurse my baby boy…a privilege very few working moms are afforded. In addition, I took advantage of their generous tuition reimbursement program. Because of this, I have reached the halfway point of completing my masters degree.

That being said, I am excited to move into the next phase of my career and break out of my comfort zone. Working at a non-for-profit like Methodist Le Bonheur is a dream come true…I am honored to be on a team whose mission and purpose are serving sick children and families throughout the Memphis area.

While my new role is only indirectly involved with patient healthcare, I am excited for the journey ahead and pray God makes me an instrument to comfort those who are suffering.

…And by the way, did I mentioned that Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare is one of the Fortune 100 Best Places to Work…just one of several workplace awards!!

We will miss you Smith & Nephew…thank you for your investment into my future, my child’s future, and ultimately the future of our great city! ❤️
